7 common mistakes in blackjack

Although thanks to the extensive free black jack handbook you have a global picture of the game, I, which is based on the fact that many novice players still make mistakes when playing blackjack. Reason to discuss with you some typical mistakes so that you don't make the same mistakes that many other players do.

The idea that it's only about previous years' scores

No, you don't need to be a professional card counter to get decent results in blackjack, but you are expected to know what you are doing. It's more than just counting to 21.

Be tempted by side bets

Casinos want to make a profit in as many ways as possible, and one of them is to offer side bets. You can think of this as the extra games you encounter at the (online) table. For example, you have the opportunity to bet on a few "women," and if you do it right, you can get ready for a nice prize.

Compensatory behavior

If something goes wrong, then it will go wrong, and you will have to accept it. In practice, however, it's easier said than done, and that's why many blackjack players start exhibiting compensatory behavior after a series of losses. This in itself does not apply to blackjack, but I still advise you to keep yourself under control.

Double 11 if the dealer has an Ace

If the dealer shows an ace, be careful. In this case, it's wise to choose "Hit" instead of "Double."

Hit instead of doubling with 11 vs. 10 from the dealer

If you have the option to double up against the dealer, take advantage of it. Take, for example, the dealer's score of 11 vs. 10. In that case, it's not a bad (at least statistically) choice to double up.

Bet on 16 on the dealer's ace

If you have 16 and the dealer has an ace, you should also be careful. At 16, you really don't have the top cards at your disposal, and the dealer can easily beat you. That's why it's important to choose "Hit" and get an extra card that way.

Buy insurance or even money

The same situation applies here as with the extra bets. These "extras" only benefit one party: the house. The premium you pay for insurance is too high, depending on how often you can expect to be paid. Also, blackjack is a game with a certain amount of risk.
