How Card Counting Works

Card counting is based on the cards that are in play in each game and begins with a simple assumption: decks are not shuffled except at certain points in time and therefore, with the cards that come out, you can make predictions about the ones that are going to come out.

It may be useful to mentally divide the cards into three categories:

Senior cards: 9, 10 and all face cards and aces.

Junior cards : 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Neutral letters: 7 и 8.

When you master these distinctions, you can apply them to cards during each game you play, subtracting one card from the total each time a high value card appears and adding one card to the score each time a low value card appears. In the case of a neutral card, it does not count.
