Prospects of the ship market

The construction of coastal facilities in developing countries could contribute to the expansion of cooperation between the Ministry of Marine Fleet and developing countries. This will make it possible to more accurately organize the supply of complete equipment and materials, as well as provide engineering and construction services in a timely manner.

It must be assumed that with the deepening and expansion of the experience of independent economic activity in the foreign economic sphere of the Ministry of Fleet, the Soviet shipping companies will make cooperation even more widespread, even more economically beneficial for all parties.

In the context of the slow expansion of international trade, the accumulated surplus of the fleet will probably remain until the end of this decade. In this regard, a significant part of the capacities of shipbuilding enterprises in the West will remain unloaded.

The capitalist ship market is likely to emerge from a deep crisis, and its further development will depend on the state of the general economic conjuncture of capitalism.

If the pace of development of the capitalist economy accelerates, the expansion of international trade will require a significant increase in the carrying capacity of the fleet to ensure increased cargo flows, which will occur both by increasing the number of ships and by commissioning efficient marine vehicles. It is possible to revive on a new basis fundamentally new designs of vessels stopped due to the crisis — underwater, ekranoplans, composite.

In the relatively distant future, with an increase in the size of ships and an increase in their automation, the expediency of using nuclear power plants increases. Currently, their use is constrained not only by technical, but also by organizational difficulties, in particular, the lack of international rules for the operation of vessels with AES. The development of these rules is progressing extremely slowly, which reduces the number of seaports where such vessels could enter. The solution of the problem would be greatly facilitated by the installation of AES on composite vessels with separating cargo and power sections, as well as on enlarged lighters. In this case, there is no need for direct entry of vessels from the AEU into ports, since within the port's water area, the movement of cargo sections and barges can be carried out by vessels with conventional power plants.

The stimulating influence of scientific and technological progress (STP) on the development of demand for the construction of ships will increase, mainly as a result of the acceleration of the moral aging of the available tonnage. The appearance of fundamentally new types of vessels will require changes in the technology of shipbuilding production, equipping shipyards with more complex and expensive equipment.

The construction of more complex ships and shipyards and the growth of their cost will stimulate a deeper division of labor in shipbuilding. As a result of the development of detailed and operational specialization in the field of scientific research and services, the relationship between sellers and buyers, as well as between ship manufacturers themselves, will further strengthen.

Currently, practically no large vessel of any kind is being built exclusively on the basis of national technology. Technical achievements of many countries are used in the construction of sea vessels, a significant part of foreign-made equipment is installed on them, a large share of technical documentation comes from abroad. In the future, the interdependence of individual sectors of the ship market will increase even more. https://newsbazaar.co.in/
