Description of the Khmelnitsky region
Khmelnitsky regionThe lands of the modern Khmelnitsky region have seen a lot. The first settlements appeared here many centuries ago, during the Paleolithic period. The oldest settlement in Ukraine was found on the territory of the region. During the history of its formation, the Khmelnitsky land survived the invasion of the Mongol-Tatars, who simply destroyed Podillya and divided it into parts. Then followed new conquests, this time by Lithuanian troops. It was only in the middle of the XVII century that the Ukrainians, led by Bohdan Khmelnytsky, liberated their native lands from the conquerors. But the torments of the Khmelnytsky region did not end there. Poland and the Tatar-Turkish hordes still claimed it. In 1795, the territory of the region became part of the Podolsk province of Russia.
As an independent administrative unit of Ukraine, the Khmelnytskyi oblast has existed since 1937. However, for several years it was known as Kamenets-Podolsk, respectively, the center at that time was the city of Kamenets-Podolsk. In 1954, the region was named Khmelnytsky, and the capital of the region became Khmelnytsky. The geography of the region is very interesting.
In the central part of the region is the Podolsk upland, to the northwest it is replaced by Volyn. The north is located on the Polesskaya lowland, the southwest is an elongated hilly hill on which mountainous limestone deposits rest. This is the only ridge in the world that was formed not due to tectonic changes, but as a result of the activity of living organisms. The highest point of the region, Mount Velikaya Bugaiha, is located on the Tovtrov Ridge. It rises 409 meters above sea level. Due to favorable climatic conditions, agriculture in the region is the main branch of the economy. As in many other regions of Ukraine, grain crops and sugar beet are cultivated in large volumes here. Animal husbandry is also well developed in the region, specifically the meat and dairy sector. Food industry enterprises operate on the basis of rich agricultural raw materials. Enterprises of the machine-building industry are engaged in the technical equipment of the agricultural sector. Kamenets-Podilsky Agricultural Machinery Plant is one of its largest representatives. The rich history of the region has left many traces for future generations. A huge number of religious and architectural monuments have been preserved on the territory of the Khmelnytsky region. https://1winsite.com.br/aviator/
