Denis Shapovalov, Stan Wawrinka and Nick Kyrgios are among the big names to take part in this year's event, which was traditionally called the Stuttgart Open but has been renamed as part of a sponsorship deal with car maker Mercedes-Benz. Historically, the Mercedes Cup has been won by prominent professional tennis players such as Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem and Roger Federer.
