Better bonus offers at casinos without a Swedish license make the foreign gaming industry increasing

Turnover in the gambling industry is steadily increasing year by year, and the gambling companies use different methods to attract new players and retain their existing ones. One of the most popular approaches is to offer lucrative bonuses to create incentives for players to both visit, register and stay on the various gaming sites; and not least when you look at the interest in gambling at casinos without a Swedish license.

According to the latest statistics from the Spelinspektionen, which concern Swedes' online gambling habits, better bonus offers turn out to be the main reason why Swedes turn to unlicensed gambling. The very phenomenon of casinos without a Swedish license is at least as popular as the bonuses they offer, and there are today several sites such as  https://sakrasvenskacasinon.com/ which compare the various sites based on, among other things, which bonuses are available.

Why are the bonus offers at casinos without a Swedish license at the forefront?

Unlike Swedish-licensed casinos, casinos without a Swedish license may offer both more and larger bonuses to their players. At the Swedish online casinos, only one bonus per person and gambling company is allowed according to the Gaming Act that came into force in 2019. This means that existing players need to apply to other platforms in order to take part in new bonuses.

The reason for the restriction is that bonuses are considered to be an incentive for players to spend more money, which in the long run can lead to negative consequences from an economic, social and health perspective. According to the Public Health Authority, gambling for money at casinos is considered to be the type of gambling that has the highest risk of causing gambling problems among the population.
If you look instead at casinos without a Swedish license, these have freer terms for their bonus offer because they are supervised by other jurisdictions than the Swedish one. For example via Malta (MGA) or Great Britain (UKGC). Not infrequently the bonuses are therefore much larger and more numerous, which can be seen as a more lucrative experience for the players, compared to the one offered in Sweden.

Better bonus conditions go over the winning chances

In the report on players' habits, which was presented by the Gambling Inspectorate in 2021, players considered the chances of winning offered by casinos without a Swedish license to be the most enticing factor to play on their platforms. Better bonus conditions then ended up in second place.
In this year's report, however, the result looks different. Chances of winning slip down to third place, and instead bonuses end up at the top followed by ongoing suspensions at Spelpaus as the second main reason players choose to seek out unlicensed operators.

The conclusion that can be drawn from these statistics is that the offers and gaming opportunities that are available today at foreign casinos still have a great appeal for Swedish players. Something that also brings with it an increased interest in the gaming industry as a whole, as more and more people choose to explore online games as a pastime.

In total, approximately every third Swede plays some type of online game, at least once per quarter, while one in four entertains himself with games for money every month or more often. In addition, the statistics show - with an increase of just over 10 percent - that more players are actively looking for sites without a Swedish license compared to the same period last year.
