5 Crazy Gambling Wins Worldwide

Who hasn't dreamed of winning big at a casino? Even if you know that the chance is small, the thought is titillating – that a single small game at a casino without a bank ID can change your life completely in just a few seconds.

Here, in collaboration with one of our partner onlinecasinoexpert.net, we have listed five of the biggest gambling wins in history!

$39.7 million on a slot machine

Slot machines have always been popular. The reason is their simplicity and versatility. Unlike card games, you don't need to know the rules and follow a particular strategy. They are equally popular among men and women and seniors can handle them easily.

But the biggest win on a slot machine was paid out, unsurprisingly, to a young guy. In 2003, programmer Ethan Miller became known worldwide, but not for his professional credentials. During a vacation in Las Vegas, he visited the famous casino Excalibur. After loading the slot machine with only one hundred dollars, he hit the jackpot and was able to cash in almost 40 million dollars!

$20 million on blackjack

Blackjack is probably the most popular card game among non-professional players. It is a very rare game to win big money and is more about entertainment than the dream of the big win. But of course there are exceptions.

In 1997, Cary Packer, an Australian businessman, gambled big in a casino. He sat down at a blackjack table and bet a breathtaking $250,000 per hand. He then won 20 straight dealer hands in just over an hour, resulting in a total win of $20 million! Packer was so overwhelmed by his crazy luck that he later tipped the casino's dealers a whopping $1 million.

$18.3 million in poker

If you consider gambling as a way to make money, poker is by far the best form of gambling. This is because it is not just about luck. Poker fans are known for their special ability to control their emotions and think logically.

Big wins in poker are regularly recorded. The very largest prize money was awarded to professional poker player Antonio Esphendiari when he collected a whopping $18.3 million in the World Series of Poker in 2020.

$13 million on baccarat

The classic card game baccarat received a small boost in popularity in connection with the premiere of the James Bond film Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig. The game is not difficult to learn and the fact is that the biggest baccarat wins were won by professional poker player Phil Ivey. In total, he has amassed over $20 million on baccarat.

Remarkably, however, Ivey was never paid his entire winnings. This is because the casinos where he won accused him of using an illegal technique which, according to them, enabled him to detect flaws in the playing cards. As a result of the lawsuits, Ivey was paid only a portion of his winnings – $13 million to be exact. It's ok though...

2 million dollars on roulette

After slot machines, roulette is considered to be the most interesting, simple and clear type of gaming entertainment. There are no special rules. In addition to trying to guess a number, you can also bet on red/black, different parts of the board, and paired or unpaired numbers.

The biggest roulette win ever was recorded in 2009 when British businessman and billionaire Philip Green scooped a whopping $2 million. Fun for him...much needed!
